Bobby Lee Carpenter, 62, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003 in Specialty Hospital in Lorain. He was born December 25, 1940 in Hurricane, West Virginia and moved to Vermilion in 1970.He worked as an assembler for Ford Motor Lorain Plant for 18 years. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion and enjoyed flowers, fishing, hunting, outdoors, and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Audra (nee Carr) to whom he was married to for 35 years, sons Timothy Aaron Carpenter and Gregory Scott Carpenter both at home, a brother Carl Carpenter of Melbourne, FL, sister Garnett Parks of Charleston, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hubert Samuel and Ethel Gertrude (nee Pullens) Carpenter, and sisters, Ruth Ann and Maxine Roth.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Guy Morton, pastor of the Lakeview Baptist Church, will officiate.
Services will also be held Monday at Mt. Moriarah Missionary Baptist Church, Hurricane, West Virginia. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriarah Cemetery.
