Sharon Ann Hartung, 62, Enjoyed being with family, especially granddaughter Breanna Renee
Sharon Ann Hartung (nee Ritchie), age 62, of Avon Lake, formerly of Meigs County, Ohio, passed away, Thursday, June 5, 2003 at Fairview General Hospital, Cleveland following complications of a heart attack. Mrs. Hartung was born April 17, 1941 in Meigs County, Ohio and had lived in Avon Lake for the past 20 years.She had worked for 30 years as a Registered Nurse. She earned her Nursing Degree from Holzer Hospital, Gallipolis, Ohio and Bachelors Degree in Health Education from Sam Houston State University, Houston, TX.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, namely her granddaughter Breanna Renee, and also enjoyed her pets.
She is survived by her husband, Edgar J. Hartung, whom she married, March 2, 1962. Other survivors include her son Jed Hartung (Amy), granddaughter, Breanna Renee Hartung, her mother and stepfather, Marigold (nee Ritchie) and Reed Wilson of Circleville, sister Mary Buyers and brothers Ronald Ritchie and Donald Ritchie all of Circleville, and her mother-in-law Laura Mae Hartung Nice of Chester, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her father, Alvin Ritchie.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Sunday, June 8, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and for an hour before the service on Monday. Funeral Service will be Monday, June 9 at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Eileen Woyen of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Avon Lake will officiate. Cremation by Busch Cremation Services.
