Anne Bozsoki, 81, Active in girl scouts, local politics, and the American Cancer Society
Anne Bozsoki, age 81, of Lorain, died Thursday, June 12, 2003 in the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, in Lorain.Born September 22, 1921 in Lorain, Mrs. Bozsoki had lived in Lorain her entire life. She was a graduate of Lorain High School and had attended the Oberlin Business College. She had been employed at the former Griffith Blacktop Company of Lorain for many years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Lorain, and was a member of the Kolo Sisterhood of the church. She had been involved in girl scouting, local politics, and was a volunteer for the local American Cancer Society. She had also enjoyed playing bingo, cards and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her one daughter, Sharon Szyrej of Lorain, son Michael Bozsoki of Lorain, four grandchildren and one great grandson.
Preceding her in death was her husband Michael in August of 1988, her parents and two brothers, Paul Yaksich and Joe Yaksich.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 15, 2003 from 3-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where the Pomen service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
The family will also receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2003 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 noon. In St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 2210 East 33rd Street, Lorain with the Rev. Milorad Orlich, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
