Laura E. Dorsey, 86, Enjoyed bowling and bowled on several senior leagues

Photo of Laura E. Dorsey Laura E. (nee Weltmer) Dorsey, 86 of Lorain died early Thursday morning, June 12, 2003 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a brief illness.

Mrs. Dorsey was born on NOV 21, 1916 in Lorain and was a life long resident. She was a very active member of the Christian Temple-Disciples of Christ Church. She was also Lifetime Elder of her Church. She enjoyed bowling and bowled on several senior leagues.

She is survived by her daughters, Val Bandersky, Miriam Fleming both of Amherst, sons Ronald E. Dorsey of Lorain, Dorley D. "Butch" Dorsey III, Clifford W. "Kip" Dorsey both of Amherst, 16 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her husband Dorley D. Dorsey, Jr. on May 6, 1985, a son, James Dorsey on Feb. 3, 1988, grandson David Patrick Fleming in 1994 and her parents Earl & Ethel (nee Beck) Weltmer.

Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio on Sunday, June 15, 2003 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2003 at 10:30 am in the Christian Temple-Disciples of Christ Church, 940 W. 5th Street, Lorain with Rev. Bradley J. Donahue, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township, OH.
