Anna T. Darvas, 84, Enjoyed bowling and golf
Anna T. Darvas (nee Scheithauer), 84, of Lorain, died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at Akron General Hospital in Akron.
She was born April 18, 1919 in Lapherty, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
She was a graduate of Clearview High School. Mrs. Darvas was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed bowling and golf.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanette Weeks of Green, Ohio, grandson Michael Weeks of Kent, Ohio, sister Theresa Grezlik and brother Joseph Scheithauer, both of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years William Darvas on January 9, 2001.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N. Ridge Road, Amherst. The Rev. Kevin Shemuga, pastor of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church will preside.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
