Dorothy W. Zillyett, 78, Former Sunday school teacher and spent her time caring for family and neighbors
Dorothy W. Zillyett (nee Lutz), 78 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away Monday, June 23, 2003 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.She was born December 16, 1924 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was raised in Amherst where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a dietary aid at Amherst Hospital and spent her time caring for family and neighbors with home health care and support.
Survivors include her daughter Rosemary Leshinski of South Amherst; her stepson Robert Schlub of Sandusky; her stepdaughter Jeanette Berry of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren; her brothers Paul Lutz of Brownhelm Township, Jerry Lutz of Amherst, and Jack Lutz of Lorain; and her sisters Betty Gantz of Amherst, and Marcella Henes of South Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 17 years Adam Schlub on February 16, 1962; her second husband of 25 years Gilbert Zillyett on September 25, 1997; by her parents Walter Weber and Lottie (nee Fazey) Lutz; and by her brother Stanley Lutz in 1951.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Hemple Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where a memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. The Rev. Paul D. Eaton, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, South Amherst, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
