Jacqueline J. "Jackie" Poprock, 64, Enjoyed polka dancing, and dining out
Jacqueline J. "Jackie" Poprock (nee Maringer), 64, of Avon and formerly of Lorain, died Monday, June 30, 2003 in the intensive care unit of EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria after a short illness.She was born February 6, 1939 in North Ridgeville, and had resided in Avon for the past six years moving from Lorain where she had lived most of her life.
Mrs. Poprock enjoyed dining out and polka dancing and had attended several polka dances at the United Polish Club in Lorain.
She is survived by her son Timothy Poprock of Strongsville, granddaughter Emmalee Poprock of Strongsville, sister Barb Whalen of North Ridgeville and companion AJ Lasky of Avon. She was preceded in death by her husband John Poprock on April 2, 1996.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 2, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Robert Glepko, pastor, and the Rev. Robert Dybo, deacon, will concelebrate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
