Maria C. Rivera, 92, A Homemaker, Mother, and enjoyed gardening and watching T.V.

She was born July 20, 1911 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in June of 1948. She was a Lorain resident for 55 years.

Mrs. Rivera was a Homemaker and Mother. She enjoyed gardening and watching television.

Among the survivors are her daughters Gloria Molleno of Lorain and Lucy Collazo of Hartford, Connecticut, eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a brother, Francisco Mendez.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Rafael Rivera and her parents Trinidad and Justina (nee Miranda) Mendez and a brother Alfonso Rivera.

Friends may call Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio.

Funeral services will be at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2003 with closing prayers in the funeral home followed by 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection in Sacred heart Chapel 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
