Michael John Dombrowski, 81, WW II Veteran, enjoyed gardening, sports, and talking to others

During WW II he served his country by working in the CCC Camp.
He was a member of Laborer's Union Local 758 for 36 years until his retirement in 1983. He was a past vice president of Local 758. He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the United Polish Club.
He enjoyed gardening, sports and talking with people.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anna (nee Ferencz) Dombrowski of Lorain, a daughter Maria Burgett of Lorain, and two granddaughters, sisters Mary Yourkovich of Elyria, and Hattie Truszak of Amherst, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dombrowski was preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Dombrowski, Jr. in 1959, parents John Dabrowski and Katherine (nee Tokarcyk) Dabrowski Wichrowski, brothers George and John Dabrowski, sisters Francis Biczykowski and Anna Shauver.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Parastas will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th Street, Lorain, Ohio. Rev. James Batcha, pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
