Connie Gigliotti, 82, Volunteer for American Red Cross

She was a graduate of Lorain High School and went on to complete two years of business school.
A parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, she was employed as an administrative coordinator in the Engineering Department of Lorain County Community College for many years. She also had served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Survivors include sons: Nicholas of Amherst with whom she made her home, and Brian of Strongsville, sister Molly Straka of Amherst, seven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Nicholas J. Gigliotti in 1999, by a daughter Sandra Loucks in 1980, by her parents Bruno and Eugenia (nee Barbatano) Mazzone, brothers August and Frank Mazzone, and sisters Mary R. Karanako, and Nellie Davis.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by a funeral mass in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend David Woost, associate pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
