Nancy Lee Lucey, 53, Enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, gardening, and landscaping

Nancy Lee Lucey, (nee Maholic), age 53, of Sheffield Lake, died Monday, July 7, 2003 in the emergency room of Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West after being stricken with an apparent heart attack.

Mrs. Lucey was born September 7, 1949 in Lorain, and had been a resident of Sheffield Lake for the past six years. She attended Nativity B.V.M. Parochial School and later graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School with the class of 1967.

For the past thirty years she had been employed by First Federal Savings of Lorain. She began her career as a teller and for the past twenty years had served as a branch manager at the Broadway Branch and most recently at the bank's South Lorain office.

A parishioner of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church, she enjoyed travel with her favorite destination being Las Vegas, Nevada. Additional interests included gardening and home landscaping.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Martin "Marty", a daughter, Beth Mehal of Lorain, a son David Lucey of Elyria, her mother Carol Maholic-Possy of Lorain, and a sister Debi Fleming of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Maholic in 1976.

Friends may call Thursday, July 10, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave. with the Reverend Robert Glepko, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

The family suggests memorials in her memory to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, PO Box 182039 Columbus, Ohio 43218-2039.
