Quennie Manning, 94, Enjoyed sewing, gardening, working with flowers and playing the piano
Quennie Manning (nee Haddock), 94, of Vermilion, died Thursday, July 10, 2003 in Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a short illness.She was born October 23, 1908 in Pitt Co., NC, where she lived until moving to Vermilion in 1955.
Mrs. Manning attended the Vermilion Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, working with flowers and playing the piano.
Survivors include two daughters, Beatrice M. Hall of Vermilion, and Vera B. Martin of Clearwater, FL, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband Levi M. Manning in 1945; parents, James and Mary (nee Harrington) Haddock; brothers, Herman, Jessie, Leon, Elijah, Robert, and Johnny Haddock, and sisters Cora Lee Jones, Daisy Oakley and Olive Vera Mills.
Friends may call Friday, July 11, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home on Saturday July 12, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion, Ohio.
