Mary Lou Belgrave (nee Wojtko), 87 of Lorain died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 in her home following a lengthy illness.She was born February 6, 1916 in Lorain. She moved to Cleveland and lived in the surrounding suburbs before moving back to Lorain in 1998.
Mrs. Belgrave was employed at General Industries, National Tube Co., Lorain and retired from Sunset Memorial Gardens as a sales councilor in the early 1980s.
She enjoyed gardening, bowling and crocheting afghans for her family.
Among the survivors are her sons Timothy L. Ardo of Lorain and Thad L. Ardo of El Segundo, California; a daughter Mary Lou (nee Ardo) Conley of Lorain; sisters Irene Traicoff of Mansfield and Bertha Reisner of Amherst; 13 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Warren Belgrave in 1990.; her parents Alex and Elizabeth (nee Beres) Wojtko; a son Thomas Leslie Ardo; brothers Frank, Steve and Alex Wojtko and sisters Elizabeth Jobigy and Julia Niznik.
Friends may call Friday 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain.
Funeral service will be Saturday 11:00 PM in the funeral home. The Reverend Fred Lassen interim pastor of Our Savior / Nuestro Salvador Lutheran Church Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, North Olmsted.
