Lillian M. "Lil" Logar, 72, Enjoyed crocheting, bowling, gardening, and family activities

Lillian M. "Lil" Logar (nee Garro), 72, of Lorain, died Friday, July 25, 2003 at her home after a one and a half year illness.

She was born June 26, 1931 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain and Sheffield Village area resident. She was a 1949 graduate of Lorain High School.

Mrs. Logar worked at Nisner's Five & Dime in Lorain and later at Nelson Stud Welding in Lorain as a punch key operator for 10 years.

She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Sheffield Village and the church Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, gardening, reading novels, family activities, and going to the flea market.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years James C. Logar, sons Kenneth Logar of Sheffield Village and James C. Logar of Pittsfield Township, daughters Shelley Stanley of Lorain and Sharon Hemminger of Erie, Pennsylvania, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and sister Edith Udovich of Bay City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Salvatore and Innocenzea (nee Rocco) Garro.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Robert J. Franko, pastor of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Sheffield Village, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
