Lois Jean Hampson, 73, Co-owner of Hampson Enterprizes in Elyria for 33 years
Lois Jean Hampson (nee Hahn), age 73, of Grafton passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003 in New Life Partners Life Care Center in Lorain after a lengthy illness. She was born Wednesday, October 16, 1929 in Elyria, Ohio and lived in the Grafton and Elyria areas all her life.
She was very active in the North Eaton Christian Church (Disciples) for many years. She served on many committees in the church, was a deaconess for a number of years, and member of the Rebekkah Circle for over 45 years. She was co-owner & operator of Hampson Enterprizes in Elyria for 33 years with her husband Bert who passed in 2002. She was on the board of directors for the Lorain County Red Cross for the last 10 years and Eaton Township Board of Zoning Appeals for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Mole-Broud of LaGrange, Ohio two brothers Nyle Hahn of Grafton, Ohio and Carl Hahn also of Grafton, Ohio
She is proceeded in death by her husband Bert in 2002, her parents John & Neva Hahn, and her brother Dale.
Friends may call in the Blackburn Funereal Home, 1021 Main St. Grafton, Tuesday, July 29, 2003 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. with funeral services in the North Eaton Christian Church (Disciples) 35895 East Royalton Road on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Paul Durbin, pastor, will be officiating. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township
