June L. Hoffman, 86, Enjoyed ceramics and elephant figurines
June L. Hoffman (nee Sutfin), 86, of Rocky River, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Fairview General Hospital, following a short illness. Mrs. Hoffman was born June 14, 1917 in South Euclid and had lived in Avon Lake since 1964 until moving to Rocky River 5 years ago.Mrs. Hoffman was a 1934 graduate of Brush High School and a member of Order of the Eastern Star 557, Avon Lake. She enjoyed ceramics and collecting elephant figurines.
Mrs. Hoffman is survived by a son Robert (Joanne) Hoffman of West Warwick, RI, 3 daughters: Barbara Bodmer (John) of Kirtland, Margaret Hough (Theodore) of Polk, Ohio, and Kathryn Deblor (Richard) of Charlotte, MI. Other survivors include 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a sister in law Betty Hoffman. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert W. Hoffman, who passed away, August 1, 1997, parents Willard and Margarite (nee Rand) Sutfin and two brothers Rollin Sutfin and Merle Sutfin.
Friend may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake, Monday, August 4, 2003 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Theresa Dulca-Paker of the First Christian Church, Medina will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
