Derek R. Lore, 29, Suncoast Motion Picture Company Manager

He was born August 27, 1973 in Amherst and had resided in Lorain for just over a year. He grew up in Amherst and had also lived in Sandusky.

Mr. Lore was a 1991 graduate of Firelands High School.

He worked as the manger of Suncoast Motion Picture Company at the Midway Mall in Elyria for five years. He also managed the Sandusky Mall branch in Sandusky for a short time.

He enjoyed drawing, comics, collection action figures, music and movies.

He is survived by his parents, Roger and Diane Lore of Amherst, stepdaughter, Caitlyn House of Lorain, sister, Shawna Sultzer of Amherst, paternal grandmother Mary Lore of Lorain, finance Shannon Andrews of Lorain and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Roscoe and Elizzie Belle Taylor and paternal grandfather Stanley Lore.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 14, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where funeral services will be held Friday, at 10 a.m. The Rev. David Johnson, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Vermilion will officiate. Cremation will follow.
