Eleanor Irene Riemer, 77, Enjoyed knitting and traveling
Eleanor Irene Riemer (nee Puskas), 77 years of age, and a resident of Wellington, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2003 at MetroHealth Medical Center following a sudden illness.She was born June 26, 1926 in Cleveland. She had resided in Cleveland and Amherst Prior to moving to Wellington 24 years ago.
She was an active member of Wellington First Congregational United Church of Christ for many years. Eleanor volunteered as a dispatcher for the Wellington Senior Citizen's Bus. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crocheting, traveling to visit her family, crafts, oil painting and cooking.
Survivors include her sons Ronald Riemer of Baltimore, Maryland and Donald Riemer of Spokane, Washington; her daughter Lynn Reimer-Roberts of Deep River, Connecticut; three grandchildren; and her sister Loretta Stefan of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years Mr. Adolph "Bud" Reimer in 1978; by her parents Theodore and Anna Puskas (nee Danna); and by her brother Alex Puskas.
Friends may call Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the Hemple Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Mary Joseph, intermin pastor of Wellington First Congregational United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
