Sandra L. Morrissette, 56, Enjoyed cooking and gardening

Sandra L. Morrissette (nee Kos), 56, of Lorain, died Sunday August 17, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain after a sudden illness.

She was born April 23, 1947 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. She was a 1965 graduate of Admiral King High School.

Mrs. Morrissette was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain, the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Slovak Club where she worked the Friday fish fry.

In the mid 1970's she was president of the Rebman Recreation Women's Bowling League and the Slovak Lanes Ladies Bowling League.

She enjoyed cooking, crafts and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years Gerald H. Morrissette; daughter Vicki Kosco of Lorain, son Mike J. Morrissette of Lyndhurst, daughter Nikki Cook of Lorain; 6 grandchildren, sister Cheryl Sutton of Wellington and brother Bruce Kos of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew & June (nee Baker) Kos.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will follow on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
