Eva K. Grote, 73, Enjoyed reading, flowers, and shopping
Eva K. Grote (nee Albert), 73 of Vermilion, died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 in Community Health Partners, Lorain, after a sudden illness.
She was born October 18, 1929 in Yugoslavia. She had lived in Vermilion 55 years moving from Akron.
She worked in the cafeteria for the Vermilion Public Schools for 15 years and also worked at South Shore Packing, Vermilion. She was a member of the Ohio Public Schools Employees Union, Vermilion, and enjoyed reading, flowers, shopping and working on the computer.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Grote, to whom she was married to for 54 years, sons, Mike Grote of Huron, Bill Grote of New London, Ohio, and Don Grote of Vermilion, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Anna (nee Greenwald) Albert.
Friends may call Friday, August 22, 2003 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, Saturday, August 23, 2003 with Reverend Brian Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
