Marianna "Anna" Falbo, 93, Enjoyed her family and gardening
Marianna "Anna" Falbo, age 93, of Lorain, died Friday, August 22, 2003 at her residence following an extended illness.Mrs. Falbo was born July 26, 1910 in Cosenza, Italy and had been a resident of Lorain since 1958, coming from her native Italy.
She was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain where she was also a member of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart.
Her hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening as well as spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Giuseppe "Joe", daughters Elvira Pecora of Pianette, Italy, Rita Hiser and Fran Claus, both of Lorain, and Iolanda Andulics of North Ridgeville, along with 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Fiorina Falbo, by her parents, Giovanni and Louisa (nee Pecora) Falbo, and by four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 24, 2003 from 5-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain where a rosary will be recited by the officers and members of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel and will be followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend David G. Woost, associate pastor of the church will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
