Cora L. Zimmerman, 44, Avid bowler, enjoyed sewing
Cora L. Zimmerman, age 44, of Berlin Heights, died Saturday, August 23, 2003 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation following a 7-month illness.
She was born on June 25, 1959 in Lorain, Ohio and has lived in Berlin Heights for the past 10 years. She also lived in Sandusky and Vermilion.
She was a graduate of Vermilion High School Class of 1977. She worked for Gilbert Heating Company in Sandusky. She was an avid bowler, bowling on many leagues, including the Eagles Couples League in Sandusky. She was also recognized in the 600 Club. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Sandusky, enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching and cooking.
Survivors include her husband Dennis "Rick" Zimmerman of Berlin Heights, mother and step-father Dorothy and Virgil Zicafoose, sisters Kelly Thorpe of Sandusky and Lesley Fairman of DuBois, Pennsylvania, brother Kevin Kirkwood of North Ridgeville, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Kirkwood.
Friends may call Tuesday, August 26, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
