Mary Kish, 90, Lifelong Lorain Resident

Photo of Mary Kish Mary Kish (nee Rupcic), age 90, of Lorain died Thursday, September 2, 2003 in Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 10, 1913 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident.

She worked as a seamstress for many years at the former Joseph Feiss Clothing Co. in Lorain. She was an active member of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ. She was awarded the Outstanding Hungarian Citizenship Award by the Lorain American Hungarian Citizens Club. Her many years of service to the church organizations include Consistory, President of Busy Martha's Guild, Kitchen Chairman, Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher, choir, Sick Benefit Society, Lorain International Festival, Co-coordinator of the Kennedy Plaza workers, and President of the Credit Union.

Her hobbies include crocheting, baking, especially wedding cakes, and self-catering for friends.

Survivors include her son, Alexander L. Kish, Jr. of Lorain; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Alexander L. Kish Sr., in 1967; parents, Joseph and Anna (nee Palic) Rupcic; daughter, Norma Cambarare; brother John Repcic; sisters Ann Virant, Kate Worcester and Jennie Rupcic.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain from 5-9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday evening at the funeral home at a time to be announced.
