Therese L. Jurczynski, 78, Excellent baker and seamstress
Therese L. Jurczynski, age 78, of Amherst Township, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2003 at Golden Acres Lorain County Home after a lengthy illness.She was born November 24, 1924 in Lorain, Ohio and had lived in Elyria most of her life. She was employed by Elyria Spring and Specialty Co. as a factory worker for 30 years, retiring in 1986. She had previously worked at S. Weitz Co. in Lorain as a seamstress.
Therese was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Elyria United Polish Club. She was a 1943 graduate of Elyria High School. She was an excellent baker, candy maker, and seamstress. Her hobbies included needlepoint and knitting.
Survivors include her brother Joseph Jurczynski of Mulberry, Florida, sisters Stella Urban of Lakewood, Ohio and Helen Walend of Sonoma, California, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary (nee Phillipovich) Jurczynski, six brothers: Stanley Jurczynski, John Phillips, Theodore Jursinski, Casimer, Walter, and Andrew Jurczynski.
Friends may visit Tuesday, September 17, 2003 from 5-9 p.m. in the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Lorain, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday with Prayers being said at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home. A mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Elyria. Father Albert Krupp will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Memorials may be sent to St. Agnes Church Restoration Fund, 611 Lake Ave, Elyria, Ohio 44035
