Helen C. Melessa, 94, Former member of Holy Trinity, Lorain
Helen C. Melessa, (nee Palco), age 94, of Parma Heights, and longtime former Lorain resident, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at the Greenbriar Health Care Center in Parma Heights following an extended illness.Mrs. Melessa was born August 25, 1909 in Ramey, Pennsylvania and had been an Ohio resident since 1916.
She was a former parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain.
Mrs. Melessa is survived by her brother Andrew Palco of Elyria and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1997, her parents Thomas J. Palco and Mary S. Palco (nee Hajduk), a sister Frances Miller, and brothers Joseph and Thomas.
Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church, 14865 East Bagley Road, Middleburgh Heights. The Reverend Leonard M. Bacik, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
