Samuel Herbert Horsfall Sr., 83, Enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating
Samuel Herbert Horsfall Sr., age 83, of Port Richey, Florida and formerly of Grafton passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2003 in Evergreen Rehab Center in Medina after a lengthy illness.He was born Sunday, July 25, 1920 in Northfield, Ohio, living in the Grafton area most of his life before moving to Florida. Mr. Horsfall was a retired electrician for U.S. Steel in Lorain and he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a life member of Valley City VFW Post #5563. He was also a life member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and most outdoor activities. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by five daughters: Sandy Clagg of Columbus, Ohio Vicki Horsfall of Columbus, Ohio Charlotte Rumore of Florida, Grace Kernel of Grafton, Ohio and Hilda Fisher of Grafton, Ohio, three sons, Ben Horsfall of Elyria, Ohio Samuel Horsfall Jr. of Grafton, Ohio, and Randy Horsfall of Florida, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his sister Hilda Horsfall of Northfield, Ohio. He is proceeded in death by his parents Benjamin & Grace Horsfall, a son Sidney in 2003, and 5 Brothers.
A memorial will be held in the Blackburn Funeral Home, 1021 Main St. Grafton, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Mayo pastor of Midview Baptist Church officiating.
