Victoria Rollo, 92, Loved to play golf, bridge, and pinochle
Victoria Vicki Rollo (nee Larkin) 92 of Avon Lake, passed away, Thursday, September 25 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon following a brief illness.She was born May 24, 1911 in Montreal, Canada, immigrating to the United States in 1953.
She was a member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, sang in the church choir and the Avon Lake Women’s Chorus. Victoria was also a singer for the Burko Choir of Montreal, Canada.
She worked for the Canadian Government as an Airplane Inspector during World War II. She also worked at Sheffield Lake City Hall, in the clerical department. She was a member and past president of the Lake Erie Senior and Lakeshore Senior Clubs of Avon Lake. She loved to play golf, bridge, pinochle and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her son Ronald Kirk Kirkcaldy (Hanna), granddaughters Vicki Casper and Susan Diebold both of Sheffield Lake, grandson Scott Kirkcaldy of Avon Lake, two great grandchildren, Whitney and Ryan Casper. She is also survived by three brothers, Alex Larkin, Dick Larkin and Earl Bud Larkin and several nieces and nephews all of Ontario and Montreal, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Rollo (1970), brother Robert Larkin and sisters Phyllis Fras and Audrey Camp and her parents, Alex and Sara (nee Hazlett) Harkin.
Friends may call the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake, Monday, September 29th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home, Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James Deitz, Associate Pastor, Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Cremation by Busch Crematory. Interment at a later date in Resthaven Memory Garden.
