Vincent M. Jannuzzi, 78, Owner of Seymour's Jewelry Store, Lorain

Photo of Vincent M. Jannuzzi Vincent “Vince” M. Jannuzzi, 78, of Lorain, died Wednesday, October 1, 2003 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after a short illness. He was born on April 9, 1925 in Lorain, Ohio and has been a lifelong resident.

He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1943-1946. He served as a Combat Engineer in Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was also decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Ribbon and the American Theater Ribbon.

A prominent Lorain business owner, he owned Seymour’s Jewelry Store on Broadway Avenue for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, automobiles, and motorcycles.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia Jannuzzi of Kansas City, MO, and Corinne Jannuzzi Wheeler of Indianapolis, IN, sons Jeff Jannuzzi of Amherst, OH, and Gerald Jannuzzi of Lorain, OH, sister Francis Cellozzi of Lorain, and five grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 40 years, Monique Jannuzzi (nee Collas), parents, Minotti and Cecillia (nee Barrella) Jannuzzi, brother Albert Jannuzzi and sister, Connie Nickollette.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 2, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday, October 3, 2003 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Friday, October 3, 2003 at a time to be announced.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 451, Lorain.
