Carlos Ceballos Sr., 77, Enjoyed fishing, gardening, and dominoes
Carlos Ceballos Sr., 77, of Lorain, died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain after a lengthy illness.He was born May 14, 1926 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico and had resided in Lorain since 1977, moving from Youngstown.
Mr. Ceballos worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube as a first man in the blast furnace for 27 years retiring 1977.
He was a member of the House of Praise in Lorain where he served as an usher during services. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing dominoes.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maria G. (nee Perez), daughter Sandra Pagan of Lorain, sons Jimmy Ceballos of Youngstown and Carlos Ceballos Jr., of Lorain, four grandchildren, and brothers Raymondo Ceballos and Marcelino Ceballos. He was preceded in death by his parents Marcos and Justina (nee Roma) Ceballos and brothers Cafo Ceballos and Esidro Ceballos.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 6, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the House of Praise, 4321 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10:00 a.m. in the church. The Rev. Luisa Iris Rosado will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
