Edward Kvach, 85, World War II Veteran

Edward J. Kvach, 85, of Avon, passed away Monday, October 6, 2003 at Avon Lakes Nursing Home following a short illness.

He was born October 11, 1917 in Cleveland and lived most of his life in Avon Lake before moving to Avon three years ago.

He was a graduate of Avon Lake High School and served in Europe in the Army during World War II. Mr. Kvach was self-employed as a carpenter before retiring. He had attended Holy Trinity Church, in Avon and was a member of the American Legion, Post 211, in Avon Lake; and was a life member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

Edward is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Antonia (nee Novotny) Kvach, five brothers and four sisters.

Services will be held Saturday, October 11 at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Beldon Road, in Avon Lake at 1:00 p.m. Fr. John Misensko of Holy Trinity Church, Avon will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorials may be forwarded to a favorite charity of the donor's choice.
