Aloysius J. Miller, Sr., 63, of Wakeman, formerly of Avon, passed away Monday, October 13, 2003 at his home following a brief illness.Mr. Miller was born January 24, 1940 in Avon and lived their his entire life before moving to Wakeman 8 years ago.
Mr. Miller worked as a truck driver for Leonard Horovitz Construction. He enjoyed auto racing and animals.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth (nee Scarvelli) whom he married April 16, 1966. Other survivors include 3 daughters, Tina Julianno (Anthony) of Lantana, FL, Nancy Jacobs (Steve) of Miami, FL and Teresa Waller (Jimmy) of New Hampshire; a son, Aloysius J. Miller, Jr., of Wakeman; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a brother, Butch Kinzell.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosie Miller; parents, Antone and Rosena (nee Zea) Miller; 3 brothers, Anthony, Norbert, and Alfred Miller; and 2 sisters, Geraldine Gill and Genny Stump.
Friends may call the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 32000 Detroit Rd., in Avon from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15. Prayer services will be at the funeral home Thursday, October 16 at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., in Avon at 10 a.m. Fr. Thomas Cleaton of the Church will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary Church Cemetery.
