Jerome A. Lucido, 59, Avid Indians, Browns, and Cavs fan
Jerome A. Lucido, 59, of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away Monday, October 20, 2003 at St. John West Shore Hospital following a sudden illness.He was born February 15, 1944 in Cleveland and had lived in Avon Lake until moving to Sheffield Lake 5 years ago.
Mr. Lucido worked in the production department at Bonnie Belle in Westlake for the past 9 years. He worked for the Ohio State Liquor Department for 20 years prior to that. He was a 1962 graduate of Avon Lake High School, a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, an avid Cleveland sports fan, rooting for the Indians, Browns, and Cavs. He also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas.
He is survived by sisters: Linda Lucido of Sheffield Lake and Elaine Mengle of Avon; stepdaughter Angela Stein of Sheffield Lake; nephews: Gary Mengle of Avon Lake and Russ Mengle (Dana) of Sheffield Lake; niece Melissa Kierce (Dan) of Avon Lake; great-niece Madison Mengle; nephew Peter Mengle and friend Gloria Ferrarini.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Angela (nee Scarl) Lucido.
Friends may call the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Beldon Road, Avon Lake, on Friday, October 24 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Prayers Service at the Funeral Home Saturday, October 25 at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 410 Lear Road, Avon Lake at 10 a.m. Fr. James H. Beatty of the church will officiate. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
