Ronald A. Lewis, 82, Owned Grafton Nursery
Ronald Albert Lewis, 82, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland from injuries sustained in an accident at home.
He was born Tuesday, August 30, 1921 in Kidderminster, England moving to Grafton
Township 42 years ago. He has lived the last 5 years in LaGrange Township.
Mr. Lewis owned & operated Grafton Nursery in Grafton Twp. for many years. He worked for the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg for 30 years as a tool and die maker until his retirement. Mr. Lewis was in the Merchant Marines during WWII carrying supplies for the war effort. He was member of the American Nurserymen Assoc. & the Black River Game Club. He enjoyed hunting & fishing, and loved his nursery business.
He is survived by his wife Magdeline, to whom he was married to for 46 years; 2 daughters: Jennifer Ehlke and Lizabeth Taylor of Elyria; 1 son: John Lewis of Grafton; and 1 grandchild: Abigail Ehlke of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, at
11:00 am with Rev. James Cake, pastor of Belden United Methodist officiating.
