Caroline Rose Plato, 89, Homemaker, enjoyed flowers and cooking

Caroline Rose Plato, 89, of Grafton passed away Saturday morning in Life Care of Medina Nursing Home in Valley City after a short illness.

She was born Friday, October 23, 1914 in LaGrange, and had lived in the LaGrange/ Grafton area all her life.

She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Grafton for many years, and is a member of the Alter & Rosary Society. Mrs. Plato was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family home, and enjoyed cooking and caring for her flowers.

She is survived by her daughter: Norene Plato of Grafton, Ohio; son: Robert Plato of Litchfield, Ohio; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer (Eric), Julie, and Joy (Ray); and 2 great-grandchildren Rayn and Graham.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mary McAvena; 4 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., in Grafton on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a funeral mass in Assumption
Catholic Church, 1033 Elm St., in Grafton on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. John Seabold, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton.
