Florence E. Bushman, 77, Enjoyed growing orchids and her family

Florence E. Bushman “Floss” “Flory” (Nee Kosman), 77, of Avon Lake passed away, Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 22, 1926 in Cleveland and was a graduate of West Tech High School. She moved to Avon Lake in 1947.

Floss was employed as a Postal Clerk at the Avon Lake Post Office for twenty years. She was a member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church, Avon Lake, and enjoyed taking bus trips with First Merit Bank. She enjoyed growing orchids and taking care of her family and friends.

Mrs. Bushman is survived by six sisters, Joan Hill of Lead, South Dakota, Jaqueline Jackson of North Ridgeville, Carol Sanborn and Diana Unger both of Dade City, Florida and Judy Kosman and Beverly Lortz, both of Strongsville, many nieces and nephews and goddaughter Deborah J. School of Bay Village. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Bushman, Jr., a sister Ethel Albright and her parents, John and Ida (nee Kanzeg) Kosman.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmesiter Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake, Thursday, October 30, 2003 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. All services at the Lake Shore United Methodist Church, 33119 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, Friday, October 31, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Charles A. Peal, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Park Cemetery, Avon.
