Marian I. Ferguson, 96, Retired sales clerk for Kline's Dept. Store
Marian I. (nee Klody) Ferguson, 96 years of age, of Lorain, died on Thursday, October 30, 2003 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio following a lengthy illness.Mrs. Ferguson was born on December 19, 1906 in Birmingham, Ohio and lived most of her life in the Lorain area. She was a 1925 B graduate of Lorain High School and a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Lorain. She was a retired sales clerk for the former Kline's Department Store. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and AARP.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert W. Ferguson of Lorain, and Eugene L. Ferguson of Los Angeles, CA, a sister Nell Haff of Washington, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lee C. Ferguson in 1972 and her parents Frank and Lucia (nee Summers) Klody.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. John's United Church Of Christ, 715 Reid Ave., Lorain, Ohio with Rev. Donald Yeakle, pastor emeritus officiating.
A private burial service was in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Smith, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, officiating.
Family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 715 Reid Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44052.
