Ann D. Reber, 93, Hobbies included gardening and baking
Ann D. Reber, (nee Simko), age 93, of Lorain, died Friday, October 31, 2003 following an extended illness. Mrs. Reber was born November 14, 1909 in Leisering, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Lorain since her childhood.A parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Lorain) she was formerly employed as a seamstress of Goodall’s Garment Company during the Great Depression. Her hobbies included flower gardening and baking.
She is survived by her daughter Dolores Ann Reber of Lorain and a granddaughter Andrea Muras, Ph.D. residing in New York, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew in 1990, a son Richard Robert who died in infancy in 1931, and her parents George and Anna (nee Langel) Simko.
Private family funeral services were held at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, Lorain with the Reverend David Novak, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, officiating. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family suggests memorials in her memory to the New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
