Lawrence "Larry" Wesley Fallon, 38, Served in the US Coast Guard
Lawrence Larry Wesley Fallon, 38 years of age, and a resident of Columbus, passed away Monday, November 3, 2003 in Columbus from injuries sustained in a car accident.Born June 18, 1965 in St. Petersburg, Florida, he was raised in South Amherst and graduated with the class of 1983 from South Amherst High School. He has been a resident of Columbus five years.
He was very active with the DeMolay in high school. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1985 to 1992. Larry was employed by Invacare in Elyria from 1992 to 1998 and worked for Donato’s Pizza in Columbus for the last four years in customer service. While living in South Amherst, he was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Amherst.
Survivors include his parents Lawrence Leo and Joanne Fallon (nee Peterson) of South Amherst; his sister Sheila Fallon of Phoenix; his paternal grandmother M. Opal Virginia Fallon (nee Shreve) of Florida; his maternal grandfather Erlo Peterson and grandmother Lucy Peterson (nee Osburn) of South Amherst; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul Wesley Fallon in 1984.
There will be a reception of friends on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Hemple Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Peterson Cemetery in Weston, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made the Fireland’s School Endowment Fund; 11970 Vermilion Rd., Oberlin 44074.
