Fay Marcia Held, 70, Former registered nurse

Fay Marcia Held (nee Hunt), age 70, of Avon Lake, passed away peacefully at the Renaissance, Olmsted Falls, on Thursday, November 13, 2003 after a courageous 6-year battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born September 8, 1933 in Lynn, Massachusetts. Fay was a graduate of the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in Massachusetts in 1954 having won a full scholarship. She served as a Registered Nurse at hospitals in Massachusetts, Florida and Ohio. She also served as a private duty nurse. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Bay Village.

She was the daughter of the late Albert W. and Alma M. (Fortin) Hunt. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, William Held, three daughters: Lisa M. Held of Rocky River, Lorraine Driskell (Conrad) of Wellington and Louise Kalouria (Kim) of Toledo, granddaughter Celeste Kalouria, sister Marilyn L. Stackhouse of Swampscott, Massachusetts, three nieces: Deborah Tarasuik, Victoria Stackhouse, and Leslie Hamilton, all of Massachusetts. Fay was the godmother of Kimberly Ann Tarasuick and special friend of Myles Bernard.

Private family services will be held. Cremation by Busch Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorials may be forwarded to the American Cancer Society, 43099 N. Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035 or to Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic, 6801 Brecksville Road, Suite 10, Independence, Ohio 44131. Arrangements handled by the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, Avon Lake.
