Eric J. Pausche, 79, WWII Veteran, enjoyed baseball and football

Eric J. Pausche, 79, of Avon passed away Saturday, November 15, 2003 at his home. He was born July 13, 1924 in Cleveland, and moved to Avon fifty years ago.

He served in the Army during World War II in Europe in the battles of Normandy, Northern France, and the Ardennes. He was employed as an assembler at Fruehof in Avon Lake. Mr. Pausche was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Avon. Eric enjoyed baseball and football.

Mr. Pausche is survived by two half-brothers, Robert J. Pausche of Middleburg Heights and Karl F. Pausche of North Royalton, a half-sister Elizabeth J. Jonke of Cleveland, a step brother Richard F. Brodnik of Berea and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth V. (1991), two brothers, Frederick Pausche and Joseph Pausche, sister Marian Rose Schumacher and his parents, Joseph and Rose (nee Stalzer) Pausche.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon on Saturday, November 22, 2003 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. when prayer services will beheld. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon at noon. Rev. Thomas Cleaton, pastor, and Fr. Fred Pausche of St. Gabriel Church in Mentor, and nephew of Mr. Pausche, will officiate. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park. Memorials may be forwarded to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon, Ohio 44011.
