Norma Jean Kohl, 79, Enjoyed traveling and gardening

She was born December 9, 1923 in Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland. She was a graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland. She was employed for 22 years for the Kirby Company where she did clerical work. Norma was a member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling and gardening.

Survivors include her daughter, Suellen Benn of Avon Lake and son Dennis A. Kohl (Sharon) of Avon Lake, two grandsons, Elliot M. Kohl and Aaron M. Kohl, and a sister Lois Paul of Milan, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis R. Jr., (1994), and her parents Arthur Charles and Harriet Catherine (nee Blackmur) Brandt).

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003. Memorial Services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Kelly Peters, pastor of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Cremation by Busch Crematory. Private committal services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland.
