Emma J. Hirshman-Hunt, 62, Homemaker, enjoyed the outdoors
Emma J. Hirshman-Hunt (nee Stewart), 62, of Avon Lake, formerly of Lansing, MI, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2003 at St. John West Shore Hospital following a sudden illness.Mrs. Hunt was born March 26, 1941 in McKeesport, PA and had lived in Avon Lake for the past 32 years.
She was a homemaker and had attended Michigan State University, studying business. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Avon Lake. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, boating, shopping at garage sales, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She prayed often to St. Jude.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Paul Joseph Hunt; sons: Kevin Hirshman (Jennifer) of Sandusky, and Craig Hirshman (Tracy) of Brandon, OR. Other survivors include stepson, Joseph Paul Hunt of Cleveland, and stepdaughter Lisa Margaret McClean (Matthew) of Cleveland; and two grandchildren: Riley and Kailey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jean (nee McDanel) Stewart.
A memorial service will be on Wednesday, November 19 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church; 410 Lear Road, Avon Lake at 11 a.m. Fr. Edward Smith of St. Jude Church, Elyria, will officiate.
