Elizabeth Ann Burch, 82, Enjoyed traveling and knitting

Elizabeth Ann (nee Magyar) Burch, age 82 of Lorain died Monday in New Life Hospice of St. Joseph after a short illness.

She was born September 9, 1921, in Hartshorne, OK and resided in Lorain since 1960. She was a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa with a B.S. in Nursing Education. She was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II serving as a nurse from 1943 until 1945. She had been an Instructor Nurse at St. Joseph School of Nursing.

She was a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church where she had been Chairman of the Book Group, enjoyed traveling, knitting and sewing.

Survivors include her daughters Linda Popovich of Massillon, Karen Shullick of Amherst, Jean Trotter of Wilmington, DE and Jane Pedersen of St. George, Utah, five Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents Micheal and Elizabeth (Nee Blasko) Magyar, a sister Cecilia Magyar and Andrew Magyar.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov 19, 2003 from 4 pm until the time of the services at 7 pm in the Schwartz,Spence,Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 5th St., Lorain with the Rev. James E. Smucker, Pastor of Heritage Presbyterian Church.
