Pauline A. Toth, 78, Enjoyed crocheting and bingo
Pauline A. Toth (nee Horinek), age 78, of Amherst Township, died Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the Elyria Methodist Village following an extended illness.She was born on October 10, 1925 in Lorain and had been a resident of Amherst Township since 1980.
Mrs. Toth was the owner of Pauline’s Restaurant of Lorain for many years; she was later employed by the National Tube Company (predecessor to United States Steel), by the Weitz Cafeteria of Lorain, and by Bendix of Elyria. She was also a home sales representative for Beeline Fashions and Avon Products.
A parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Lorain, her hobbies included crocheting and playing bingo.
She is survived by her daughters: Mary Watson of Berea and Betty Graf of Vermilion; sons: Wayne Weiss of New London, and John S. Toth of Lorain; 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John S. Toth in 1999; parents: Michael and Agnes (nee Diviac) Horinek; brothers: John, Joseph, and Anthony Horinek; and a sister: Stephanie Lasky.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel; 3224 Broadway in Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church; 2428 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend David Novak, pastor of the parish, will officiate. Burial will take place in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
