Margaret Wasela, 77, Enjoyed traveling, dancing, and golf

Photo of Margaret Wasela Margaret Wasela (nee Bylicki), 77, of Lorain, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 in Elyria United Methodist Village following a lengthy illness.

Born in Lorain on July 15, 1926, she lived most of her life here except the 10 years she spent living in Pasadena, CA.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School with Certificates of Study from Lorain Business College and Oberlin Vocational School.

Margaret enjoyed traveling with her husband, Gerald, touring Mexico, Canada, and most of the U.S. Her activities include dancing, golf, and volleyball, where she was captain of the team.

Mrs. Wasela was previously employed by Lorain Printing Company and the National Tube Company in Cost Accounting in the late 40’s and early 50’s. She was also a United Steel Workers of America union office employee with the Local 2345. In California, she was employed as an Alternate Office Manager at Bullock’s, an upscale department store in Pasadena. She was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband Gerald of 52 years; son David; and daughter Joyce, both of Lorain; sister, Florence Maiden of Lorain; and half-brother, Robert Zimmerman of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose (nee Nowicki) Bylicki; and step-father, Fred Zimmerman; brothers Stanley and Ted Bylicki; and a sister, Irene Honoshofsky.

There will be no visitation. Prayers will be said Wednesday, November 26 at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home; 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church; 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, with the Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
