Franklin Koch, 71, Enjoyed hunting and fishing

Franklin Dee Koch, age 71, of Columbia Station, passed away Friday, November 21, 2003, in his home after a short illness.

He was born Monday, November 14, 1932 in Clay County West Virginia, and lived in the Lorain County area over 40 years.

Mr. Koch attended Grafton Baptist Church, and he served in the U.S. Army in the early 50's during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by General Motors in Parma as a set-up man for 25 years before retiring in 1994. Mr. Koch enjoyed hunting, especially fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Virgie, two daughters, Alice Moyer of Kendle New York and Angela Hering of Albion, New York, two sons, Franklin W. Koch of Brunswick, Ohio and Johnny Koch of Denver, Colorado, six grandchildren, two brothers, Oscar Koch of Canton, Ohio and Paul Koch of West Virginia, three sisters, Slina Liverman of Virginia, Ella Parsons of Youngstown, Ohio, and Willma Anderson of West Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Ida Koch, his sister Traesa Seabold, and four brothers: Ernest, Watson, Albert, and Curtiss.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton, Monday from 7-9 p.m. with funeral services Tuesday in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Willis Donaldson pastor of Grafton Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
