Alice D. Moore, 94, Enjoyed gardening and knitting
Alice D. (nee Hall) Moore, 94, of Lorain, died on Friday, November 28, 2003 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain, Ohio following a short illness.Mrs. Moore was born on March 28, 1909 in Meigs Township and has lived in the Lorain area since 1938. She graduated from the White Culture Beauty School and was a beautician. Most recently she was a homemaker that enjoyed gardening and knitting.
She was a member of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church for 65 years.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Don (Shirley M.) Krieg of Grosse Ile, Michigan, son Fred R. (Betty) Moore of Lorain, five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her sister Opal Jones of Hudson, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harley in 1987, parents Dye and Margaret (nee Coulter) Hall, sisters Florence Parks, Edna Hall, Jo Prouty and Lucy Spears. Funeral services will be held on December 1, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, 658 E. Erie Ave., Lorain, Ohio with Pastor John L. Ferris, officiating.
Alice D. Moore will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township, Ohio. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, 658 E. Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 in Mrs. Moore's memory.
