Marian H. Hughes, 75, Enjoyed music and her grandchildren
Marian H. Hughes (nee Leshinski), age 75, of Elyria, died on Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Elyria Methodist Village, following an extended illness.Born on November 10, 1928 in Lorain, she had lived in the Sandusky and Huron areas, moving back to Lorain in the early 1980’s. She had attended Lorain High School.
Marian had been employed at Lorain Products for 10 years, retiring in 1989. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to all types of music.
She is survived by her son: Rex Hughes of Fremont, Ohio; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: John, Stanley, Allen, and Frank Leshinski, all of Lorain; sisters: Lucille Waldeki, Florence Horinek, Theresa Sorok, Dorothy Majer, and Marcella Grumbos, all of Lorain; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Ignatz and Wanda (nee Habant) Leshinski; son: Jay Hughes; brother: Edward Leshinski; and 3 sisters: Virginia Kudlo, Irene Racz, and Francis Brumback.
Memorial services will held on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home; 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Fr. Kevin Shemuga, pastor of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, will officiate.
