Catherine L. Kelm, 76, Lithonia Lighting Employee for 20 Years
Catherine L. Kelm (nee Redinger), 76, of Vermilion died Friday, December 5, 2003 at Community Health Partners, Lorain after a 2-year illness.
Born July 3, 1927 in Lorain, she was a life long Vermilion resident.
She worked at Lithonia Lighting in Vermilion for 20 years.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and the Electrical Workers Union. She enjoyed flowers, sewing, crafts and travel and had a booth at Jamie's Flea Market.
She is survived by a daughter, Lauren Ramiser of Amherst, a son, Larry Kelm, Vermilion, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Patsy Troxell of Marblehead and a brother, Gene Redinger, Vermilion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Kelm in 1985, a daughter Lynn Sigler, a sister Betty Jeavons and a brother, John Redinger.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. A Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 12 noon Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Father Jim Holmer, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
