Gloria Jean Marrero, 56, Enjoyed arts and crafts

Gloria Jean Marrero (nee Coy), 56, and a resident of Lorain, died on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at her home, while under the care of the New Life Hospice, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

Born May 21, 1947 in Salem, Ohio, she had lived in this area for the past 36 years. Gloria was a member of the Salem Salvation Army. She enjoyed arts and crafts.

She is survived by her son: Michael R. Marrero, of Lorain; daughters: Susie J. Lener, Lana L. Marrero, both of Lorain, and Rose M. Travis, of Elyria; 7 grandchildren; a brother: William A. Coy of Salem; sister: Elizabeth Houshour, of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond R. Marrero in 1994; son: Raymond in infancy; and a brother: Arthur in infancy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the Resthaven Memory Gardens Chapel, Avon, Ohio. The Dovin Funeral Home; 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
